This is 1984 Luger Adventure Sloop. The hull has been polished and waxed. The boot lines have been painted with epoxy paint. The bottom was sanded, sealed and given three coats of bottom paint.
The deck hardware was removed in preparation of non-skid repaint. The aluminum stanchions bow pulpit and stern rail have all been removed. have the stainless steel stanchions, stern rail and bow pulpit from Catalina 30 ready to install. also have mast from Catalina 27 which believe was the one that Luger used originally. have all of the rigging from Cat 27 as well that appears to be in good condition. bought the hinge mast base from Catalina, to replace the flimsy tabernacle of the Luger. appears to be an easy install. The keel is retractable and has new cable installed.
The hatch doors shown should be replaced and have some beautiful cherry wood for that. The nice thing about that is the motor is enclosed and well protected from waves and weather. It should run very quietly. It is located in front of the rudder. This is good design, from my understanding, as it will enhance steerability at lower speeds.
The ports have been replaced. The original exterior plastic frames have been eliminated by mounting the new Plexiglas ports directly to the cabin. The interior frames have been replicated to finish the inside. still have the molds. The original small fixed ports have new larger Beckson opening and screened ports ready to install. The ports on the starboard side have been partially installed.
have copy of the original blue prints. found another Luger Owner in Missouri and he allowed me to photograph them. was there to purchase his anchor locker hatch, which was missing when bought the boat.
The boat is an outside rudder and tiller. It has an engine well to accommodate 15 hp motor. There is track for raising and lowering the motor out of the water.
The boat has rear berth and the dining area convers to double bed. has settee on the side and V-berth that will accommodate two. sleeps six comfortably.
The boat has recycle toilet and came with sterilizing tank that purifies the waste before discharged. would replace it with more conventional head and holding tank. The current toilet should work however as weekender. Opposite the head is Vanity and sink. There is small closet between the head and the V-berth. The boat has lot of storage space. There is navigation table with storage for charts.
have table from Catalina 30 that fits the dining area perfectly. It is the one with the nautical chart of Catalina Island. It has been refinished and is ready for install. The galley needs to be refinished and comes with SS stove and sink. The refrigerated box needs to be refinished and comes with Icemaker/refrigerator. haven't tested it, but it looks like it should work.
The interior walls and ceiling has been mostly stripped. Plans were to insulate and replace with gray automotive liner. The liner was to be glued to corrugated plastic panels and Velcroed to the ceiling. There is an excellent Sailrite video on how to do this. The nice thing about it is that it is easy to install, looks professional and is easily removed to repair/add deck hardware. have liner and corrugated plastic panels. planned on using new vinyl simulated flooring. It is advertised as water proof. My son-in-law who installs flooring swears by it. is flexible and should install easily.
The trailer has new bunks and carpeting. installed new set of brakes on four wheels. Including the master cylinder. Brake lights are all new. replaced the bow chalks. The trailer will need new set of wheels.
The boat is registered through 20017 in my name. It is located in Burbank, CA.
