The boat is pure luxory and affords the opportunity to be able to enjoy this type of boating with an eighth of the cost.
I have been involved with syndicate boating for years and can testify to this being an excellent way to enjoy boating. We have one member who has nearly ten years syndicate experience on three separate boats
In order to be part of this fantastic experience you will need your RYA day skipper theory and you can be trained on this boat to obtain your day skipper motor yacht practical. This training can be arranged. Those already with the necessary qualifications will have to undergo training on our boat and be appraised.There is syndicate agreement that has to be abided by. There is no sub letting or shared ownership of the 1/8th share allowed
Costs are currently that we ask for £350 per month with generally additional 'cash call' in the winter to cover antifoul/service/upgrades. We suggest you should look at budget of around £6000 per annum.We have dedicated treasurer who looks after our finances.
Selection of weeks for season 2020 has already been made, there are some weeks as part of this share available this year which presents good opportunity to get one's training done ready for next year
Please note to charter boat like this costs circ £15k per week.
Some of us use the boat mainly for day trips, typically finding the peace and tranquility moored up in one of the many local Cala's merely 10/20/30 minutes away, or some have chosen to travel further afield and circum navigate the island, or pop over to Menorca.
We strive to keep our boat in excellent condition, we have some winter works planned already, but the aim is to have an excellent boat with the 'pride of ownership factor' and protect our investment.
My experience so far is that the cost of share rarely fluctuates much in value, in fact people have kept share in similar boats, moved on after years and still achieved the same sale price, so it also represents good investment.
Opportunities to have fractional ownership of boat of this marque are quite rare, am sure those that will browse the net to look for similar boats will soon realise this, which is why they get snapped up pretty quickly.
She is UK registered vessel and operates under UK maritime laws even though the boat is moored in Spain
