FOR SALE..OUR MUCH LOVED BOSTON WHALER.
Reason for sale is move to bigger boat to allow us to do more coastal hopping as the family are at an age that we want to expand our horizons.
2 OWNER, We are only the second owners. Have owned her since 2000.Was imported by Reddish marine, Salcombe in 1991, has been in Salcombe ever since.
Serviced every year, re-antifouled, engine plugs and leg oil. Force 90Hp, two stroke. Made by Mercury. Outboard fitted in 2010. Approx. 250 hours .
Impeller changed 2019.
All electrics work, lights, speedo, fuel gauge.
This is sheep in wolfs clothing. She will potter around the estuary all day long, up to the pubs, to the beach. She is perfect for landing at the beach as not too big to be able to push onto the beach to unload without getting stuck.
However, the outboard was chosen for it being very light and has been set up correctly by the ex-Honda race engineer, Colin Wootton, so that it is in balance with the hull. The engine has had the carbs polished and will rev easily throughout the rev range.
When you want to go fast, this boat will not disappoint. Topping out at 47mph, will easily top 50mph with simple prop change. Will pull skiers with ease, and other assorted inflatable toys, and is just great fun. Flat out is not for the feint hearted, it is very, very quick for 15 foot boat.
Please don't be put off by the outboard snobs. The engine has been great. Never misses beat and always starts first time. Force was the simpler version of the other engines and is very easy to work on and is basically Mercury, just badged as different brand and as previously stated, very light.
The trailer had £1500 spent on it last summer. New hubs and suspension, and new hitch/ brake assembly. Tows fantastically and all brakes work like new.
The boat also had £1500 spent on her last winter having the fibreglass tidied up and polished. She has the original gelcoat.
The boat will be serviced with new plugs and new leg oil, and there are couple of small fibreglass chips that will be fixed too before delivery.
