Princess Elizabeth is beautiful 1930's passenger launch built by Hills Boatyard for their service at the Guildhall, York.I purchased her from Sweeney's Cruises on Loch Lomond where she had operated under the name "Lomond Sunrise" and then completed full restoration including new coverboards and mahogany floor at no expense spared.She can be MCA coded for 60 passengers but have been operating successfully under the "Small Passenger Boat Code" for 12 passengers. 12 wooden deck chairs and old bench seating (not fitted) included.
Construction is larch on oak with mahogany decks and floor. The open canopy is steel framed with wooden paneling, fiberglass sheathed and teak hatches. Sliding hatch over interior steps for easy access.Powered by modern Beta marine diesels with 2000 hours on each only used in fresh water.
Will need varnishing and some paint for next season but this will be included in the price and carried out by professional as will any woodwork needed found when lifted. So this boat is guaranteed to be in full working order on collection/delivery (any fault found by qualified marine surveyor will be rectified by us).
She is approx. 40 feet long and 13 foot wide. Currently afloat on the River Nene near Peterborough.
Very easy to steer, can turn on the spot. Had windows when operated in Scotland, could be converted again into beautiful spacious houseboat or floating home (can be done by my boat builder here under your own contract with him) but is still viable business as passenger boat.
