Update: We have just had an ultrasonic hull thickness test done. Both the bottom plates and topsides are still the original 8mm+. The worst areas are around the waterline with the lowest reading being 6.5mm. This is the same as the existing survey report and confirms the steelwork is in great condition and should be fit for commercial work!
A beautiful tugboat which recently had larger 30m replica of her built.
She had spent 50 years in storage on land. The steelwork is in very good condition, old engine already removed and conversion to an expedition yacht research vessel floating accommodation has begun. New engine and gearbox (see below).
Good survey, no double plating. Suitable for commercial work.
Both the superstructure and the wheelhouse have been extended aft. Railings raised to the legal height of 1m. There's ample headroom throughout the vessel on all levels (2.3m). Aft store room can also have full headroom if tank below cut into.
The vessel has vertical bulkheads creating separate watertight compartments. It also has: flat top integral fuel and ballast water tanks effectively making it double-bottom.
She was out of the water painted and anti-fouled approx 7yrs ago. Inside the original paint is very good mostly and she is absolutely dry with not drop of water coming through the top.
Her current draft is 4ft at bow 5.5ft stern. According to the displacement curves (also included) the draft varies from approx 3.5ft at 40 ton of displacement, to 6.5ft at 80 ton. 
Also included: 
- more economical 240bhp marine Detroit Diesel engine with excellent Twin Disc gearbox and all accessories, instruments, keys, exhaust etc. Seaworthy and in good condition.
- few pairs of brass rectangular ships windows (opening type) and two large round portholes. 
- large lot of Rockwool marine insulation. Brand new and in packaging.

Building plans, books, manuals, all previous bills of sale (for £100K and showing VAT exemption) and copy of the survey are also included. 
Delivery may be possible, tow or re-power.
The vessel is currently in North Yorkshire where one can stay aboard and with access to all modern marina facilities.
