1967 Pearson for sale

Hilarius is classic 1967 Pearson Vanguard sloop ready to go cruising. She is located in Beaufort, SC and is in the water. Her hull was refinished with Interlux Primkote/Perfection years ago, standing rigging replaced years ago. She has Yanmar 2GM20F two cylinder diesel that runs very well, (engine hour meter 1137.5), very good main sail, jib, spinnaker, storm sail, running lights, new vhf, two new batteries, porta potti, custom mahogany swim ladder, fairly new interior cushions,  anchors, tiller steering. She's great sailing, full keel sea going boat. just recently took month long trip from Long Island, NY and sailed her to Beaufort, South Carolina with no issues. I'm selling due to our first child on the way and won't have time to play with it. There are over 400 of these Vanguards still in use, and there is an owner support group at pearsonvanguard.org for more info on the Vanguard. attached copy of the Hilaius Inventory and all items on list are included. don't want her to sit around so looking for good home for great boat. The bottom paint needs to be touched up in couple of spots. Zinc was replaced on hull out over last winter. This is true turn key vessel.

It has seen the Pacific Northwest, New England, Entire east coast, and many spots in the Carribean. must give credit to the previous owner who operated the Hilarius for over 12 years in the Long Island Sound. He used it primarily for day sails and chartered several of cruises with it. His dedication and work is seen in the vessel and we continued to take as great care of it as he did. This is true blue water boat that we put through the test on it's voyage south and handled great offshore. hate to see her go, but can't stand to watch her sit.
