We have owned the boat for around years and have many good memories. Very beamy downstairs.We fitted the diesels last year and had new props made to compensate for the lower rpm of the diesel engines. We used it for cruising last year and ticks over at knots. This year we decided to have play with winding up the diesel pumps to get the boat to plain. After lot of trial and error we got the stern engine to rev up under load at the req rpm with the turbo on full boost, although havnt had the time to do the port as yet. Lack of time meant that when we did get up to the boat, we had the family with us who don't have the patience for engine work, although we just sat at arough 12 knots wherever we went. To be honest, even when we had the v8 big blocks in it, we rarely went over this speed for two reasons 1) Because we found that plaining scared the kids, made all the cutlery, plates, food etc come crashing out of the cupboards below deck 2) didn't like spending £200 an hour on petrol.Since fitting the diesels, we have found it now costs around £40 £50 an hour and ticks along very comfortable on our various visits to Burnham Yacht harbour.It was stored out of the water for ten years before bought it and its been back out for two years since. So has spent chunk of its life out of the water.I have stack of manuals, original build sheets and history to go with .It is very stable on open water as it is designed as sea faring vessel, but would suit cruising such as Norfolk Broads.
