In poor condition but structurally sound with mast and sails.

Inspection before bidding recomended

This was beautiful little yacht that spent many weekends sailing with my children when they were young. few years ago the mast came down in storm and planned to have the boat taken home for full refit but time got away from me. As have come to realise that will be an old man before have time to do everything wanted to, have purchased larger boat more suited to my needs. Sadly, the old Southerly must go and need it off the mooring ASAP.
The boat is in Brisbane Waters NSW (near Gosford).
I have another mast for it and some sails which are in pretty poor condition. It has not been antifould for several years as can be seen from the photos. One of the eye bolts has pulled out of the deck and needs to be replaced.

The mast that goes with it is second hand one and will need to have standing rigging replaced. have new mast section which can be had for an extra $300 if the buyer wishes.
I will try to remove the rusted outboard bracket that can be seen in the photo. The boat has an outboard well in the cockpit but does not come with outboard. It needs the tiller attached (I have made new one out of teak) and needs the interior redone or just cleaned out to use as day sailer. These boats sailed beautifully in their day, being little bit quicker than an Endeavor 24 and quite able to keep up with many larger boats. Even without the rig this boat would go well with small outboard for fishing etc.
I will try to get some more photos in the next few days.

As boats like this are not worth much, am not expecting good price but would like to see this boat go to someone who will fix it up and have some fun with it or even use it as mooring minder. If don't get any interest will probably salvage all the fittings and have the boat taken to the tip.
