The only reason am selling this boat is that have been given notice on my workshops/storage and we cannot find anything other than 40 yard containers that will cost the same as our current monthly expenditure.
I bought this boat in 2015.
I had previously owned Mastercraft Prostar (1995) and stupidly sold it to my neighbor at my ski lake thinking finding replacement would be easy!I was wrong! spent weeks looking and after looking at yet another bag of bones decided to stick with my jet ski for that season.
This boat turned up on Gumtree the following season and after lot of trawling through the internet to learn about the boat and the maker we agreed price and the owner brought it down to my lake where we tested it and bought it.
The boat was built by guy called Craig Moore up near Peterborough who basically copied the Mastercraft but Mastercraft kicked up stink and these cloned Mastercrafts were no longer made.
A good friend (and ex employer) knows Craig and he knew the boats as well explaining that the hull is direct clone of the Mastercraft and the engine was 5.7 litre Ford V8 marinized by Indmar. This one seems to be the only factory LPG and the exhaust has extra silencing so its actually very quiet.
With fat sacs it gives good wake and we decided that at some point we would start to upgrade the boat with tower etc
The next season we had fair few problems with health and safety and planning at our lake so started looking elsewhere.
We were offered the possibility of smaller lake that number of us (other members) could lease so we took the boat to try it out.
On our third run round the prop caught the bottom of the lake on tight turn.
This bent the very back of the driveshaft (the threaded section for the prop nut) so the boat was trailered back to our current lake where it sat for weeks.
We had really heavy rain for few days and as had forgot to remove the bung from the stern the rain water crept up and got to the height of the starter motor, it did not get to the engine or gearbox.
We took the boat to my storage at the end of the season where it has been kept, have used greenhouse heater over the cold months to ensure that there has been no chance of freezing.
To now get the boat useable it will need the driveshaft sorting, new starter or get the current one refurbed good service and would recommend servicing the trailer as the nearside brake was sticking so it was disconnected.
To make the boat stunning it will need the usual re trim of the interior and new decals (hull is nearly scratch free) plus tower if you intend to wakeboard.
