Humber 5m Inflatable with Yamaha 40hp stroke and TrailerVery good conditionThe first Humber inflatable boat was conceived in the early 1960sby Frank Roffee. caravan maker by trade and keen diver, Roffee had the ideaof making an inflatable boat for his dive club, its versatility was recognizedby professional organisations demanding the ultimate in performance anddependability from craft of this size. For over two decades this modelrange has been the preferred choice of the British Antarctic Survey whooperate in adverse Antarctic weather. Testament indeed for Humber’s versatile,rugged, high quality and durable products. As with most conventional inflatableboat, these craft have been designed to cater for tiller steering operationmaking them highly manoeuvrable whilst greatly increasing deck area for furtherpassengers or equipment. Significant savings on purchasing steering consoles,remote systems, cables and the maintenance cost of these items make this veryeconomic boat to own. These boats are extremely tough. Made from Hypalon rather than PVC theywill outlast the majority of other inflatables. The marine plywood floor is capable of taking very heavy weights and they are often used as workboats. The Yamaha 40hp Two Stroke engine powers the boat nicely and pumps water well. When bought this boat was told that the engine had been owned by dive club which used it only as reserve engine. As such, it has minor cosmetic marks on the cover but, as the photos show, the engine appears in extremely good condition. There are no signs of any major work having been carried out and it runs extremely well, starting promptly and pumping water fine. Likewise, there are no dings on the prop so it's been used responsibly. The tiller is excellent, in that it's central to the engine as opposed to being offset and also houses the gear change. The boat is fitted with an "elephants trunk" and so is self draining. Also comes with paddles and an anchor.This particular boat has been kept under cover all it's life and assuch, is in extremely good condition. Very little fading and no problems withseams. All the tubes hold air well and the valves are fine. 
The trailer is galvanised and has new wheels, tyres, jockey wheel and tow hitch, it tows particularly well.Also has special bracket at the rear to support the weight of the outboard lower leg when towing, this takes the strain off the transom. As I'm lucky enough to live next to Loch, the boat can be tested onthe water prior to purchase. I've had some great adventures in this boat as some of the picturesindicate but sadly, it's time to go. Viewing is strongly recommended, you won't be disappointed.Delivery can be negotiated, if required.Message me through ebay to view or ring 07904 104006
