Powercat Fishing Boat 4.5m Twin Hull Fiberglass


This is an original 1968 twin hull racing boat built in Australia under licence from America. The hull is 4.5 in length and the beam is 2.2m. The boat has been converted from racing boat to the ultimate fishing platform (flat floor throughout). The hull is extremely stable when standing and casting. The boat is also well suited for trolling and is fitted with three stainless rod holders and Penn downrigger (great for Trout in the warmer months). The boat originally ran 90hp engine when racing (from my research) but ran it with 25hp engine and that was more than enough (not included).


The boat is fitted with Lowrance Elite 4x DSI, ipod compatible stereo, fire extinguisher, 10 litre fuel tank, Large Bimini, Cig Socket, Fusion Marine Speakers and underfloor storage. It has absolutely no leaks and would make great ‘blank canvas’ for further fit-out and/or refurbishment. There is also heaps of space under the floor for storage. Great dry boat for Winter trolling for Trout at Dartmouth or Eildon. Great for Natives/Redfin in Eildon, Hume, Mulwala or the Murray. Also well suited to Estuary fishing or Gippland Lakes/Mallacoota. Much bigger, more stable, quieter and drier than tinnie. Would make great family day boat.


The Powercat sits on solid galvanised trailer with LED lights, winch, spare tyre and is in good roadworthy condition. It has low centre of gravity and tows very well. Approximate weight of 550 kg (boat and trailer) would suit small car. Also plenty of room to throw the swags and camping gear.


Only selling because have recently purchased cabin boat (better suited to our 2 year old old son). Both trailer and boat come with Vic Rego to Victorian buyer. 20% deposit due within days of sale (no exceptions). No rush to pickup boat.
